Launch Day August 8 at The Plains, VA
**MD Summer Camp is TBD
In the robotics camp, students assemble, program and operate a small rover that uses a suspension system similar to the mars rovers. Students learn the basic mechanics of a rover by building their own rover. They learn basic electronics and programming using Arduino based processor and components. The camp will teach students how to use various sensors and how to remotely operate their rover using infrared and wireless communications. Students will learn how to write program in the C language and Java language with the emphasis on interacting with sensors and controlling motors and servos. Students get to keep the rover they built.
